It's been a long time since I updated the blog section of my website! A lot has changed since January last year when I last posted...
JCD Coaching is now my full-time business, and I have been working self-employed since late December last year. This decision felt like the right time, but I won't lie, the current economic situation in the UK has made it a testing few months to operate as a full-time business. That said, I am always looking for ways to maximise my potential and bringing back a Bodyweight Bootcamp to Glenboig is the next stage of that.
'Glenboig Bootcamp' made it's debut in August 2019 and I enjoyed a successful three years delivering this class through covid lockdowns and a few bleak winters! With attendances reducing consistently all last year, I made the decision to give Bootcamp classes a winter break from the end of October last year. This coincided with some voluntary work I was doing with Snow Camp Scotland, a programme which concluded last Saturday, leaving me free to bring Bootcamp back to Glenboig Village Park this very weekend (Saturday April 29th).
To ensure the viability of this class, and any other Bodyweight Bootcamp sessions I deliver this year, I have also decided that a price increase is necessary. I never make these decisions lightly, but as a business this is something I need to do to cope with my personal rise in the cost of living, and the assumption that session attendances will remain between 5-10 individuals each week.
From this weekend it will now cost £6 for individual sessions, and it will cost £45 for a block of 10 sessions, which can still be taken as and when you attend.
Anyone with sessions left in the bank from 2022 will obviously be able to use up their existing sessions first, and I can confirm how many sessions you have left when you first attend a session this year.
If you do not live in Glenboig, but would be interested in a Bodyweight Bootcamp coming to your local area, please feel free to email james@jcdcoaching.com with your proposed location and I will do the relevant research to check its viability. All suggestions are welcome across Glasgow, North Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire, East Dunbartonshire, West Dunbartonshire, Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire!
